What to review before December 7

  1. Your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC). Your plan sends it each fall with next year’s premiums, copays and coverage.
  2. Your doctors and hospitals. Make sure they are still in network.
  3. Your prescriptions. Check each drug on the plan’s 2027 formulary and its tier.
  4. Total yearly cost: premiums plus expected copays, not only the monthly premium.
  5. Extra benefits such as dental, vision and hearing, if they matter to you.

Medigap is different

Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans are not tied to the Annual Enrollment Period. Outside your Medigap Open Enrollment Period and certain guaranteed-issue situations, insurers in Florida can ask health questions before approving a new Medigap policy.
